What is clear oiled prime solid oak flooring?
This particular oak floor is hand finished in our uk factories. The flooring is pre finished with a clear oil meaning the oak floor won’t really change colour. It will be the lightest and most natural finish that you can get on an oak floor. When the flooring is applied, it soaks into the timber bringing out the natural beauty of the oak. As the oil soaks into the flooring, the flooring is easier to maintain and will also prevent the flooring from any scuffs or mark being made easily. When floors are pre finished with a lacquer or varnish, they sit on top of the board, meaning scratches will appear real easy.
We manufacture this floor from American White Oak. The flooring is a prime grade oak, meaning only thumbnail sized knots are allowed within the grade and only few are allowed. You will find that the prime oak flooring is mainly fitted into a contemporary property.
The flooring is available in a 4″,5″,6″,7″,8″ & 9″ widths, you can choose which you prefer above. The lengths are supplied random between 1.2m – 2.4m. The flooring is supplied with a micro bevel profile. If you are unsure of what that is, please see the images above where it clearly shows you the difference between each, although if you do need more help, please let us know.
