Treatex Antique Oak Floor Stain

What is Treatex Antique Oak Stain?

The Treatex oak stain is a popular colour in which Quality Oak Floors recommend you to use on your floor.  This particular colour is quite dark and is a lot ‘browner’ than the other colours.  Once applied it really darkens the grain which shows off the natural beauty of solid oak flooring or engineered oak flooring.
We recommend that you use a lint free cloth to apply the stain and rub it in.  This eliminates any brush marks which you may get from using a brush.  You should apply this product very thinly and remember that it is not a paint.  The stain soaks into the timber rather than sits on top the timber, which is why we recommend you use this product with our solid or engineered flooring.  A varnish or lacquer tends to sit on top of the timber making it very easy to scratch and mark.

This Treatex product is for interior use only, but if you have other oak or wooden furniture or surfaces, you can also use the stain to match in with your flooring.

Once you have given the floor one coat of the Antique Oak Stain, you will be able to see if the floor needs another coat.  With a darker stain, you may find that two coats is needed.

This particular flooring stain is available in a 2.5L tin, which covers 50m2 with 2 coats.
